Long-Fiber Reinforce Thermoplastic (LFT)
LFT is a new type of fiber-reinforced polymers in the field of advanced lightweight materials, with designed, low density, high strength, high modulus and impact resistance than other characteristics, it appears on the aluminum, fiber-reinforced thermoset composite materials poses a great challenge to produce auto parts gradually become the mainstream material.
Product Feature
1. Low density, high strength. The density of LFT is 1.1 ~ 1.6g/cm3 and only 1/5 to 1/7 of steel, Lighter than SMC in 1/4 ~ 1/3. It is possible to obtain a small unit mass of high mechanical strength.
2. The degree of freedom of design is good. Physical, chemical and mechanical properties of the LFT reasonable choice of raw materials are the type, ratio, processing methods to design fiber content.
3. Improved thermal performance. Plastic temperature is generally 50 ~ 100 ℃, with the glass fiber reinforced, can be increased to 100 ℃, special LFT even temperature can be increased to 200 ℃; linear expansion coefficient lower than the non-reinforced plastic 1/4 ~ 1/2.
4. Chemical resistance. This feature is primarily determined by the properties of the matrix material, many types of thermoplastic resin, and each has its own anti-corrosion characteristics of the resin.
5. Good dielectric properties. LFT do not reflect radio waves, microwaves through good performance. LFT conductive material added to improve the conductivity and prevent static electricity.
